San Jose Panthers was originally called the San Jose Cricket Club and was formed by Nisar Chaudhary, Abrar Ahmad, Ali Shah, Rajesh Padhi, Sultan S. and few other members. Due to their dedication to cricket, SJCC has grown and prospered into 4 clubs today, Panthers, Demons, Titans and EverYoung. Panthers and Demons have gone on to win the Summer League Championship trophies, while the Demons have also won the Knock-Out, in the Bay Area Cricket Alliance. Akbar Qureshi, an ex-Panther, has represented the USA-A team in Malaysia. Harmeet Riyar, yet another Panthers veteran, has lead the North West Regional Team at the annual National Championship in Chicago. Various other members of the team have played major roles in the development of cricket in Northern California.
